Our History

The Twyford brand has developed a long way in the 330 years since Joshua Twyford first started making commercial pottery.

From early days, Twyford was the world’s first high volume manufacturer of sanitaryware, exporting to Russia, America and Australia.

The younger Thomas created completely new products, starting with the first one-piece, all ceramic, freestanding wash out WC.

More than 150 years later, Twyford still lead the way – with groundbreaking new products like the ultra-hygienic rimless, water saving WC.

The videos offer a step-by-step guide to troubleshooting problems associated with water leaking into the pan that can often be easily resolved without replacing fittings.

They are available to view on Siamp UK’s website, www.siamp.co.uk and have also been uploaded to Siamp’s YouTube page, www.youtube.com/siampshop

The three-minute videos feature on-screen instructions and narrative to demonstrate how to resolve problems covering Optima 49 and 50, Storm 33A and Skipper 45 outlet valves and Siamp 99B and 95L inlet valves.

Siamp UK managing director Stuart Lorne said: “Our hotline receives a large number of calls from plumbers struggling with common issues, most of which are easily rectified. We’ve created these videos as a solution to this – by showing plumbers exactly what to do in a visual format they can resolve the problem in the quickest and most hassle-free way.”

Siamp UK is giving selected merchants the chance to add the videos to their own site – email info@siamp.co.uk for more information.

Jado Fast Facts

JADO is driving forward freedom of expression through an exclusive range of highly luxurious, designer bath and kitchen solutions. JADO belongs to Ideal Standard International, the leading provider of innovative, design-driven bathroom solutions.

JADO’s product and brand philosophy has been based on three principles for more than 110 years: Innovation; Design; Quality. This philosophy is reflected in JADO’s product lines which offer “Freedom of Expression”.

JADO works with talented and passionate designers from all over the world. The result is a range of expressive styles, from the Scandinavian minimalism of Friis and Moltke, to the avant-garde innovation of Jean Nouvel. Thanks to a variety of designs, JADO offers customers complete “Freedom of Expression” and does not impose one version of style but rather encourages buyers to express their personal interpretation of beauty.

JADO collections offer coordinated design in taps, showers, accessories, wash basins and furniture all working together in harmony.

JADO taps and showering systems are produced at Ideal Standard International’s manufacturing facilities in Wittlich, Germany. This ensures constant quality of the highest standards. Modern techniques are combined with traditional skills that are employed when hand-finished individuality is called for, e.g. to achieve an “antique” look. JADO products also use an innovative surface treatment, called ULTRA|FINISH. This finish is more scratch-resistant, colour-fast, ultra hardwearing and has greater corrosion resistance. The molecular fusion of metal and gas ions makes it extremely hard and gives it its extra-long service life.
