Ahlen, September 2010. – Kaldewei has expanded its Classic Duo family of products even more: the new model – Classic Duo Oval Wide – increases the range with immediate effect by a free-standing model with an especially wide bath rim, providing additional design scope when creating high-quality bathrooms. With its Classic Duo family of baths, Kaldewei is once again providing the perfect combination of classic elegance and purist design. 
New bath provides individual design freedom
“Homing”, furnishing one’s home as a peaceful retreat from the hectic outside world and the often stressful work routine, is the latest fashion. Free-standing baths create visual highlights and provide individual design freedom. Kaldewei has now expanded its range of free-standing baths with the Classic Duo Oval Wide. The new model belongs to the Classic Duo family of baths and is thus available with elegant one-piece panelling. This emphasises the high design standard, harmonises perfectly with the classic form of the bath and provides complete freedom when positioning the bath in the room. The spacious design of the bath rim means rim-mounted fittings can be positioned to suit individual preferences. 
With its generous dimensions of 180 x 80 centimetres, the Classic Duo Oval Wide in robust 3.5 mm Kaldewei steel bath enamel provides boundless bathing pleasure– alone or with a partner. This is made possible by the design of its interior, where two identical back rests and centre outlet invite bathers to share a luxurious bath with a partner. Kaldewei impresses once again with perfection, elegance and sense of style

Duo Oval from the avantgarde sector of Kaldewei not only appeals to lovers of exclusive bathroom design, but has also impressed the internationally renowned jury made up of thirty experts from the design centre NRW: They have awarded the timeless model the red dot award 2010 for high design quality.
Excellent shape: Flowing contours and individual design
The internationally respected seal of quality goes to Franz Kaldewei GmbH & Co. KG for the 13th time. The premium fitter therefore not only enjoys the status of European market leader for bath tubs and showers, but also emphasises their leading position in the design sector with a total of 58 design prizes. Equally the award is not the first distincion for the Ellipso Duo Oval. Two years ago the freestanding bathtub made of 3.5 millimetre steel enamel won the iF design award 2008 in China. Its panelling produced in one piece emphasises the high design standard and allows flexible positioning in the room. Even with the colouring Kaldewei offer their followers the luxury of choice: Both in elegant white and in luxurious black the freestanding Ellipso Duo Oval adds stylish accents. The world renowned Studio Phoenix Design, Stuttgart/Tokio, who Kaldewei has worked with successfully for many years, is responsible for the design of the bath tub. 
With more than 12.000 registrations from over 60 nations the red dot design award, whose roots reach back to 1955, is the largest and most popular design competition in the world. In 2010 the participation in the product design competition was higher than ever before with 4252 entries.
