Halstead Boilers History

Halstead Boilers have been manufacturing heating appliances in the UK since 1975. Many households across the UK have a Halstead boiler fitted and many of the boiler names are still recognised. The company operated across two sites in the UK; the manufacturing site in Halstead, Essex and the commercial/training centre in Leamington Spa.

Halstead Boilers Ltd. became part of the Glen Dimplex Group in 2004 and changed it’s name to Halstead Glen Dimplex.

In 2009, Glen Dimplex moved the entire Halstead operation to the Glen Dimplex Home Appliances (GDHA) site in Prescot, near Liverpool. GDHA is the home of leading cooking and refrigeration brands such as Stoves, Belling, New World and Lec. The company name was also changed to Glen Dimplex Boilers.

Eden X Type Boilers

The Eden X type offers a range of ‘high efficiency’ or ‘condensing’ boilers that can be installed in a wide range of domestic applications. These boilers are far more efficient than a conventional’ boiler because more than 90% of the gas used is converted to heat compared with around 70%* with an old appliance.
The Eden X Type is available in combination (CBX), system (SBX) and open vent (VBX) models.

Eden CBX

For those looking for a compact central heating solution, with hot water on demand and no header or storage tanks, the answer is the Eden CBX combination condensing boiler, especially if you’re looking for excellent all-round energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.

Choice of 3 central heating (CH) outputs*
CBX 24: 24.0kW (82,000 Btu/hr)
CBX 32: 32.0kW (110,000 Btu/hr)
CBX 38: 38.0kW (129,600 Btu/hr). Maximum domestic hot water (DHW) output

Eden SBX

For households seeking the benefits of a sealed central heating system, (i.e. No Loft header tank and lower system contamination) The Eden SBX sealed system condensing boiler is the ideal solution and comes with the added benefit of being high on performance and efficiency, and low on environmental impact.
Maximum CH output*: 30.0kW (102,000 Btu/hr)

Eden VBX

In homes looking to replace traditional cast iron boilers, wall hung or floor standing, the Eden VBX Open Vent Condensing boiler is the perfect choice particularly if you are looking to reap the benefits of environmentally friendly boiler technology, but with the minimum of disruption to existing heating system layout.

Choice of 2 ouputs*:
VBX 18: 18.0kW (62,000 Btu/hr)
VBX 30: 30.0kW (102,000 Btu/hr)

*Outputs stated are non-condensing. When condensing, boiler output will exceed these figures.
