The Conex Delbraze range of end feed fittings has been designed for connecting large diameter tubes in a wide variety of commercial and applications. Using the traditional brazing method of joining, Conex Delbraze fittings tolerate high temperatures making it them prefect for engineering and commercial projects which require the strongest joints.
Conex Delbraze fittings are commonly used in plumbing, heating, fluid distribution, air conditioning, and refrigeration applications and are particularly well-suited to the construction of air pressure, steam, and condense lines. They are available in 66.7-159mm sizes and are suitable for connecting copper tubes in accordance with EN1057 and other standards including ISO 274. Certain configurations are also available for joining 219mm diameter tubes. Most fittings in the range are manufactured from copper or gunmetal making them immune to dezincification.
Ibp Conex Delbraze fittings are joined by the brazing technique using a filler metal – at temperatures above 600 degrees celcius – to penetrate capillary gaps between the metals being joined, creating a extremely strong, leak-proof joint. When heat is applied, the fitting and flux heat up and the solder melts into the void around the tube. The process can also be referred to a silver brazing, silver alloy brazing, silver soldering or hard soldering. Conex Delbraze fittings are designed with a short cup to offer economies on filler metals.
