General
- Choose a consistent air freshener: Having your home smell different every time can sometime be a negative effect. Keep it consistent as you do not want a room to smell different from others.
- Increase Lightening: If you do not have enough light in your home, everything will seem clustered, packed and unkempt.
- Cleanliness: It is important you tidy up at least once every week, get the dishes washed, wash the bath tub and make sure your house is in a clean state.
- Make room: Big bulky stuff lying around needs to the put somewhere away from everyday use.
- Hang it Up: Televisions, books and others can be hung up so it creates space and it is stylish and modern. Put your books and stationary on your shelves even if you have got another room for an home office.
- Go Wireless: If you have a lot of gadgets or thinking of buying gadgets like home cinema, console games, printers or computers wireless keeps the house simple and connected and reduces the amount of wires visible.
- Hide Things: If your gadgets are not wireless, try hiding the wires,cables or connectors. Put them under the carpets or somewhere.
- Carpet and Wall: There are a lot of save colours to choose when you want to choose your carpet or wall. The most neutral colours are a brown, beach sand colour and a cream or white colour for the walls. These colours go with most colours for sofas, cushions, gadgets and furniture.
- Ventilation: A proper, well ventilated house is healthy, reduces the risk of bacteria breeding and odours.
- Reduce Matching Colours: Same colour through out a house or part of a house makes it look dull and inviting. Do not be shy to throw in some bright colours.
Living Room
11. Away with Big Sofa: Keep it simple, small, a big sofa takes away the space.
12. In Pairs: Buy things in pairs, wall clocks, vases. Hang three different colour and style wall clocks up, put different sizes of vases on the coffee table and it seems simple.

Bedroom.
18. Try removing things that do not belong in the bedroom. Although, this might not be possible if you do not have enough rooms to put things in.
19. Increase Light: Increase the light in your bedroom to show the colours of your room and bring it to life.
20. Bed: You do not have to have a luxury mattress but your bed frame needs to good on the eye.
21. Divans? If you have a divan bed, your headboard needs to reflect quality.
22. Bedding. Take your time to look for quality bedding. It should compliment your headboard or bed frame.
Bathroom/Toilet:

28. Cabinets: You do not have to buy these expensive cabinets advertised on the televisions. All you need is make sure things are kept away as much as possible.
29. Tuck your gadgets in: Create a space for your dishwasher , dryer or washer.
30. Colours. Change your microwave to a stainless steel colour, matching your extractor and any other gadget. White is too common.
